they absolutely are the most ridiculously adorable things ever.

not to mention on a sleeping hugo... that makes them even better... hehe
this mama needs a break by bedtime.
it is HARD keeping up with an almost 3 year old!

first garden dinner of the summer

everything except the chicken is from the garden.

AMAZING

maybe one day the chicken will be mine too... but for now i'll have to settle for just the veggies.

it is almost that time....

what time you ask?

the time when i am literally swimming in raspberries.... or could be if i actually picked them all.

there are only a few ripe so far so they're manageable.
but by next week i'm going to be in a big raspberry mess!

i swear there are at least a MILLION.
sigh
two raspberry canes plus 5 years equals a crapload of berries.

this should be a tasty tuesday post...

but i'm just too excited that THIS is finally done.

this monstrosity was DADDY's idea.

too bad i was the one trying to cut the grass around this giant beast since i couldn't move it... problem solved!

and hugo loves the the rubber playground mulch. he's constantly filling and dumping his dump truck and pushing them around with his big bulldozer.

we still need to add more mulch but he's happy... so i'm happy! and no more cutting the grass around it. 

BUT.... since its tuesday...

i'll post my easy chocolate chip cookie recipe since i've made it so many times that i just know it by heart.

just baked up a batch yesterday which is more than half gone already. cookie monsters be a munching.

cream together:

1/2 cup Butter/Margerine/Coconut oil

1 cup sugar (i usually use brown, and often cut back)

1 egg

splash of vanilla

mix in:

add 1 1/2 cup flour

dash of baking soda

pinch of salt

stir in chocolate chips (as many or as few as you'd like) or other add-ins of your liking.

scoop onto pan and bake about 10 minutes (time will vary depending on how big you want your cookies)
