happy 4 months hugo!

4 months already!
hard to believe that its already been that long.

4 months ago you were hangin out in my belly. CRAZY!

some of hugo's favorite things...

• wrestling his puppets
• rolling onto his side and grabbing things
• his exersaucer
• naps in the mamaroo
• playing peekaboo
• getting a foot rub with lotion
• spinning around and "flying" makes him smile and giggle
• when daddy turns into "fezz-bot" and makes robot noises
• massages behind his ears
• car rides
• showers

one of my favorite things is when he giggles.
it is heart melting.

he has stopped taking a bottle which makes things a bit tricky since he is being supplemented with formula at most feeds, but considering the battle i had with him getting him to breastfeed at all this is a huge accomplishment and as much as it can be a hassle when we go out, it is a hassle i'll gladly deal with.

its amazing watching him grow and change...
seems like something new happens every day!

tasty tuesday - bacon wrapped jalapenos

these i have made several times... sometimes i use goat cheese... sometimes i use feta... sometimes i follow the recipe and use the cream cheese...
sometimes i bake/broil them...
no matter what, they're ALWAYS delicious!

i am officially under my pre pregnancy weight!
i am still working on toning things back up to what they were before (my stomach mostly) but i am back to what i weighed pre-hugo and that is a happy thing for me!

hopefully i'll be able to check off a few more things on that list soon...

tasty tuesday - waaaaaaay lazy

well this does not make use of my baking skills so much as my handy mixer.

hugo and i made some delicious angel food cupcakes this morning :)

all it took was a confetti angel food mix and some muffin papers.

easy peasy.

love the mixer! now i can hold hugo and mix things so even when he doesn't want to sit in his super cute chair i can still work on baking. so much easier than a hand mixer!

i found it on pinterest (if you're not on pinterest you totally should be!) and one day when hugo is cooperative i will definitely be making this!!

oooooooh! look at me i'm exercising!

any of you that know me well at all know that i am not much of an exerciser.

AT ALL

this i think might be manageable.

i haven't started yet. (i know off to a great start)

i'm really going to try though.

i have printed it off and will check off each day to motivate myself.

i'll check back in though and update my progress.

if i put it up on the internet and tell everyone that i'm going to do this maybe i'll actually be guilted into following through.



oh how things can change... thankful thursday

looking back a year ago i can't believe how different things are...
this time last year we were on our way back from mexico... plus one.

a year ago almost to the day hugo began growing into the amazing little person that he is. he isn't even 4 months old now and i can't imagine life without him.
it is truly incredible to think about it.

i am so thankful that he is a part of our lives now.

if you'd have asked me about being a mom a year ago i wouldn't have known how amazing it truly is. yeah, its a lot of work and little sleep... and things will never be the same, but the little sacrifices are so worth it.

my world revolves around hugo now. watching him grow and change is such an awe inspiring experience.

i love it!
